This project was an exploration of taking something like a graphic image, a two dimensional field, something flat and purely visual and manifesting the essence of that image in different spatial experiences. That exploration began with an object, something small, and exploring how color can reveal space. Then moving to how that kind of graphic can influence a ground, a landscape.
It could be something quite literal, like a graphic spread across a facade. It could imply movement or circulation, like that of a bridge. Or it could inform a landscape, something the user could physically interact with and enjoy. These ideas come together to reveal that this project is a canvas for a piece of artwork. All the different facets are informed by and almost a homage to a single piece of work. Through time that work can change and thus the building would change with it
